Hole Bottom

This site is quite different from the Meltham site as it won't be using any old mill infrastructure at all. The stream would once have powered mills, however the stretch under consideration for use has no old infrastructure left bar one short (2 metre) section of stream that still has the stone walls and base. Below this site the stream does enter a much motr intact section of old infrastrucute. the valley is very steep and narrow and obviously subject to very high flows at certain times - however the average daily flow (ADF) is low. I have been up to measure the flow (around 1200 litres a minute).

I've now been able to produce the annual flow duration curve using Low Flows for this site - the FDC is below. Fits in with the measurements taken at the site.
